Brief CV

Dr. Xue received the PhD degree from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and M.E. and B.E. from Xidian University, respectively. All the degrees are in EE. After obtained his PhD degree, he worked at Panasonic Singapore Lab (PSL) Pte. Ltd. as a Senior Software R&D Engineer (Jun 2001 ~ Dec 2002). Then, he worked first as a Postdoctoral Fellow and then a Research Associate in the Hopkins Radiology and UPenn Radiology (Jan 2002 ~ Jun 2007), conducting research works in medical image analysis. In 2002 and 2003, he also acted as a Technical Consultant of Panasonic, conducting research and development in the area of video codec, MPEG-4 part 10, and face recognition. From Jul 2007 to Apr 2008, he was a Senior Scientist in Abla-Tx Inc, developing algorithms and software for image guided therapy. He is currently an Assistant Professor and Director of Medical Image Lab with The Methodist Hospital Research Institute and Weill Cornell Medical College. His research and development interest is in medical image processing and real-time image guided therapy.

Dr. Xue is an IEEE Senior member, MICCAI member and SPIE member, and he is also a regular reviewer for IEEE TMI, PR, and MICCAI. He also organized special sessions for ICARCV.
