Me? (I.. if I'm the subject)

I... uh.. Where's the wordiness now??  I'm Laurie.  I live in Florida - not just sandy white beach vacation "Florida" , oh no -- but the "FLORIDA" of bonita springs: a subtropical hell of alligator swamps and melaleuca trees, six hours south of the Georgia border on the Gulf coast.  I am going to entitle my autobiography "Six Hours South of Georgia: My Life in Hell." - Though I used to live in Maryland, which has mature trees and hills and change of seasons.  And I go to school in Virginia, so that's a good escape.  Ironically I read that of the five states where West Nile encephalitis has broken out two of them are Florida and Virginia. I'm doing well    College? - You'd never guess -  but I'm a history/music double major.  Yeah, I'm definitely going to buy the infamous "Hi, I'm a liberal arts major. Would you like fries with that?" T-shirt when I get a chance.  Although I've recently decided to go into musicology.. Wait.. that shouldn't be an "although."     So what else about me?? eh.. I like cartoons.. I wish they'd make better ones or I'd watch more TV - it saddens me when young children don't recognize the name Yakko Warner (not to mention He-man and She-ra).  I like baseball - used to watch all the time. I also like books and movies.  I know more about horror movies than I probably should.  I like Harry Potter, although I avoided it at first because I thought it was too pop. I listen to classical music. I play harpsichord  ("give me counterpoint or give me death!").  I work with little kids at the Ritz in Naples.  I am not amused by politics.  I think I like to argue, but then I feel bad afterwards (not because of a loss in the debate, might I add!) I like Dunkin' Donuts but not Krispee Kreme.  I eat soup with a teaspoon, but I drink out of those soda cans that have the big gulp wide opening. .. and since it has come to that, I'll stop now...
