Rules of Trade

(1) DAO only please - Jimmy Page didn't feel it was necessary to leave a two second gap between The Song Remains the Same and Sick Again and neither do I.

(2) One for one trades please no special high value shows (I do not trade videos or do 2 for 1 blanks anymore due to not having any time )

(3) Only use decent quality CDR's, I use mainly TDK / KODAK/ TRAXDATA  please use an equivalent brand - No unbranded, poor quality, cheap rubbish - bare in mind the words of the Late Great Peter Grant when talking about Led Zeppelin  - 'Don't be so F***ing Cheap ! '. ( comment made when somebody owed him $1,000, wouldn't pay and said they would shoot him)

(4)  Read to Hard Disk first using Exact Audio Copy, then write NOT ON THE FLY.
I ALWAYS DO THIS even though I've got a beast with 3GB processor and 1GB RAM, this makes sure that when I copy a CD I don't introduce clicks, pops and skips.

(5) Concentrate on one thing at a time, don't play Doom, Surf the Net and record my CD's at the same time.  Do what I do - put them on to burn and go and have a beer. (Don't mess about at the start of a disc - so many discs are spoilt by clicks at the start as you update your trade list - wait until it's finished copying)

(6) Don't write on the discs - there are too many different standards out there, identify the discs by putting them in one of those plastic slip cases with a label inside.
Label them with title, date (DD/MM/YY) and disc number.

(7) I don't ship jewel boxes, anybody who does must have more money than sense. Here's a tip for anyone who wants to ship jewel boxes - you keep your's and I'll keep mine!  The only person losing out is Postman Pat.

(8) I believe in mutual trust - we post at the same time and confirm this with EMAIL.

(9) Email / Project Ballentine / CDR (for large trades) for artwork. - Talk to me !

(10) If there are clicks, faults, on the discs you have as originals, please tell me before you trade them with me - otherwise I'll think it's you and not trade with you again.

(11) First Class , Priority Airmail please. (No it's got lost in the post crap!)

(12) Don't rip me off - it's not fair ! (and I'll EMail everybody and warn them off you)

(13) Discs Marked NO TRADES are ones where the quality of disc (Not recording) is poor and I advise you to seek an alternative source.  if you're really keen EMAIL me and I'll tell you about the disc problems.

(14) I'm using Adaptec Easy CD Creator  to Burn at the moment - and Exact Audio Copy to read - This gives consistently good results - I've copied over 900 discs (as at 27/08/01) and have only had a couple of complaints - caused by me copying copies that I didn't realise were crap - I've updated these with NO TRADES - You can get EAC Free on the web. (http://www.exactaudiocopy.de)

- Please try to be fair with me - I'll always be honest and upfront with you.

Hope you find something interesting in the pages attached  - Happy listening

Title of disc is in BOLD - if it's a CDR I've given the same name as the original it was copied from.

I've put the Label name for the disc in brackets.

Date format is English i.e. DD/MM/YY.

Sound ratings are my own  - You may want to check with Mr. Godwin or Mr Rey but believe me they are not always right.  (Robert, check your notes (or your ears) - Dixie is more like a 3 than an 8)
