Search Engines

Welcome to my Search platform. This page is a powerful tool that can help users harvest the treasures that await those with digital age skills like using search engines, and creating their own content on the Web. Why be a blog head when you can be a guide that offers other wisdom and light. To me, the Internet is a way for me to share what I think valuable with others. I'm not just taking about my opinions, but cold hard applications, untility programs, and games that will remain useful for years to come.

Search Engines are powerful servers used to locate sites that offer want you seek on other servers around the world. The search tools featured here are divided into two groups. Those at the head of the list are called meta engines, and they permit you to run multiple inquiries on other egines. They cast large nets that search databases other than their own. You're probably familiar with the commercial engines below them. They both play a role in locating what you're looking for, but those on the bottom often point back to their own site. Corporate sponsors, or clients who pay for listings in query results are always listed first, so they aren't really honest. Although meta engines are being bribed to do this also, many are still honest with their results.

Please share this site address with a friend or associate if you find it useful. While here, we ask that you explore the site and put the links to use to teach yourself how to get the most from your PC. Even the little guy can have an Internet presence, and I'd like to see it stay that way. So why not consider building a page of your own? Who knows where it could lead! As you might have noticed, this site was built with free pages I tied together through links. However, it all started with my first successful page.

Seeing The Light

A bit confused at this point? The engines on the bottom of the list have been supplied to show you something very important, We don't suggest using them, unless you absolutely have to buy something. They should be your last resort in most cases.

The engines on top stay truer to the original spirit of the scientists that brought both the Internet and the Web to life. They wanted to spread light, and knowlege, not push products. Unfortunately corporations have corrupted this dream. Without a firm grasp of how to use these powerful tools, the treasures of the Web will remain forever beyond your grasp, so experiment with them until you learn the best ways to run searches. People are often mislead into using the weak search engines supplied by ISPs. The problem with doing this is they're deliberately designed to be both dishonest and stupid.

They'll never be able to keep you down on their farm again. After you gain digital age skills, you'll call the shots, and turn the tables on them. Road testing a few of the top tools against the commnercial ones at the bottom will make this point clear. Try This query should produce a large number of hits. I'm a wealthy man in terms of internet real estate. Don't worry though, my property is virtual, and isn't involved with the real estate crisis. Although I abandoned many some of these sites long ago, I still own them, and many still lead to working pages I can use as part of a free page site network. If you get a lot of garbage that doesn't fetch many links, the you're using stinks.

Testing A Tool

Let's see what a real search engine can do. We'll take a trip to the Cairo museum to further our knowledge of ancient Egypt, without spending a dime, or leaving your chair. Why turn to outdated reference books written by second parties when you can go right to the source and learn from the experts? Who knows more about the true history of this ancient period than Egyptian scholars and archeologists?

               1.  Start any engine.
               2.  Type museum of cairo in the search box.
               3.  check links carefully.
               4.  Select one you think would best take you there.
               5.  Try to locate a direct link.
HINT: You'll find it down under.

Around here we use our machines to enrich our minds and spare our wallets. I take pride in getting what others pay though the nose for without charge. Shouldn't you be on the same page? Those who are going to get ahead in the new age will find little time for idle gossip about stars, fashion, and sports. In today's highly competitive world, computer literacy can't be ignored without a price. The world's servers are waiting, why not start accessing the information stored on them to further your self-improvement?

If you tried to make the trip, but couldn't, don't give up hope. Click on the buton below and you'll be whisked to the museum. Now you just don't have to imagine the wonders those that know how use these powerful programs have at their command. Book marking this page puts them at your disposal whenever you want them.
