Wednesday, June 16, 20004 update

This list of aura colors contains general color notations only.  For notes regarding placement within the aura or the shape of an aura, see the initial aura page.

Aqua is sometimes called middle blue; such a person is prone to work harder and get more done than those with light blue, even if their innate talent is almost identical to that of those with the paler color.

Black; a protective cloak some people utilize.  It's meant to shield them from outside energies and allows them to keep centered while they're putting matters in the proper perspective.

Blue; musical note "sol" is represented by the planet Jupiter as it's said to be the color of Jupiter and the ruler of great thoughts and high-mindedness.  In some systems of metaphysics, blue is considered to be the true color of the sun, light blue, soft, powerful, and spiritual, is considered to be the color of the spirit, symbol of contemplation, prayer, and heaven.  It has been said the sky holds that color because gas molecules cause light rays to be scattered.  Blue indicates depth of feeling, peace, love, loyalty, truth, trust, dedication, tranquillity, contentment, tenderness, and affection.  It is also a good communication color.  Such people are not only good listeners, but intuitive ones as well.  Almost any kind of blue is good, but deeper shades of blue are best.  Once purpose is set in the right direction, it seems that blue is a natural emanation of the soul.  Descriptive words aura readers use include: sense of inner peace, communicates well, creativity, protection.  The positive aspect of blue means spiritual, artistic and selfless; but there is also a negative side which includes struggle and melancholy.  Deep blue usually signifies one having found their work and being immersed in it.  Such people are apt to be moody and are almost always unusual, but have a mission and steadfastly go about fulfilling it.  They are spiritual-minded for the most part, and their life is usually dedicated to unselfish causes such as art, science, or social service.  Nuns, writers, and singers often have dark blue in their aura.  Pale blue indicates little depth, but a struggle toward maturity being attempted.  Such people may not be talented, but are trying and attempting to go in the right direction.

Gold itself is something we should cherish and seek.  Aura readers' descriptive words include: ancient wisdom, wisdom from within, extreme happiness, joy fulfillment, and enlightenment.  Peach, being a mix of gold and pink, indicates tenderness for others, sensitivity, emotion, and clarity with wisdom from within.  It gives a strong sense of companionship along with that clarity.  Descriptive words include purity of intention, unconditional love, potential for innovative ideas and inventions, and capacity for intuitive companionships.

Green, music note, "fa" associated with the planet Saturn.  It's the color of healing, teaching, endurance, firmness, growth and high self-esteem.  It often indicates a future that will be a growing time, a time for renewal.  Green brings healing energy into one's life and is helpful; but it is seldom a dominating color.  Usually it's overshadowed by one of its neighbors.  A deep, healing green is usually only seen in small amounts, but it's good to have a little of it in your aura.  It also symbolizes youthfulness and the fertility of nature (from the appearance of fields in spring).  Descriptive words include: healing, balance, love of nature, abundance, and prosperity.  Emerald green, either pure, or particularly when with a dash of blue, is the color of healing.  Descriptive words include: helpful, strong, and friendly.  Doctors and nurses usually have it in great quantity.

Indigo, music note, "la" is a combination of blue and violet, two of our more spiritual colors.  It is associated with the planet Venus.  It represents intuitive understanding, leadership capabilities, seeking and the spiritual.  Its key words include: healing abilities, kindness, ESP, and clairvoyance; (however, if it's in the health aura, it could also indicate heart and stomach trouble).

Magenta, a purplish red, sometimes called Fuchsia, can indicate a bright agile mind.  Such people tend to be strong-willed and determined about things they regard as important.  They do well in an occupation that has a great deal of flexibility, creativity and potential for innovative ideas and inventions.  Magenta has been said to also indicate divine love, creativity, devotional love, and/or love merged in service.

Olive as a combination of yellow and green, is sometimes associated with feminine leadership but is a color that is helpful to men as well, particularly in getting them in touch with their feminine side.  Descriptive words include: optimism, protection and freedom from fear.    However, it could also indicate deceit as green mixed with yellow, for yellow-green is often weakened.  Lemony-green, with a lot of yellow is definitely deceitful and can be seen shooting through an aura, horizontally just over the head when a person decides to tell a lie or evade a direct and frank answer to a question.

Orange, the note, "re" sometimes said to be the color of the sun, as seen from earth.  It is associated with the sun, glory, virtue, and the fruits of the earth (all naturally connected with the sun).  It's a good color generally, and vital, and usually indicates thoughtfulness and consideration of others.  It often heralds the creative and artistic. Descriptive words include: bliss, rapture, deep insight, integrity, and sunshine of the soul.  Such people seem very much alive, artistic, perceptive, and creative.  Orange represents energy with mental direction; but the negative side could slip into laziness and/or regression.  If heavy, it indicates a tendency to try to control others and being egotistical, prideful, and self-centered.  Such people can be subject to kidney trouble.  Golden orange is vital, and usually indicates self-control.  Brownish orange shows a lack of ambition and a don't-care attitude.  Such people may be repressed, but are usually just lazy.

    Peach -- see gold.

Pink, often representative of female intuition and female creativity.  On the positive side, it shows purity of intention, a strong sense of companionship, love of art and beauty, vitality and a calm quiet personality with sensitivity and emotion.  It is often said to represent unconditional love, warmth, tenderness for others, and clarity.  On the negative side, pink and/or coral can indicate immaturity or youth, possibly delayed adolescence and/or a childish concern with self.

Purple, unlike violet, has an inclination to be overbearing because of the infiltration of pink.

Red, the first note in the musical scale, "do" is also the first of the primary colors.  It is associated the planet Mars and represents force of will, passion, vigor, and energy.  Red encompasses the urge to achieve results, to be successful, and to push to the limits. (It's been used to signify the suffering and death of Christ and was the color of war, strife, and sacrifice, represented earth, and hell, in ancient symbolism.  [Earth symbolizing the irrational world into which the soul fell from heaven into the body, the earth form holding the soul captive].  It also may indicate a tendency to develop nervous troubles; so one with an excess of red ought to take time to be quiet and to get outside of himself or herself.  On the positive side it may cause a person to work hard at whatever they do, but its negative side could include nervousness and/or egotism.  Flecks of red like sparks in one's aura can indicate irritability and/or a highly volatile nature.  Red could be said to indicate desire, excitability, energy, accomplishment, domination, and sexuality.  Dark red can indicate a hot temper, and/or can be the symbol of nervous turmoil.  The person may not be weak outwardly, but must be suffering in some way that is reflected in the nervous system.  Such a person may be domineering and quick to act.  Light red indicates a nervous, impulsive person, very active, but probably self-centered.

Scarlet, a brilliant red, particularly when inclining toward orange, usually indicates an overdose of ego.

Turquoise, represents the dawning of the new age of responsibility, where the individual takes responsibility on all levels.  Blue-green is more helpful and trustworthy.  Descriptive words include: individual responsibility, communication of feelings, media communication, new technology, new age person, and a humanitarian view of the world.

Violet, the music note, "ti" a mix of blue (unlimited knowledge) and red (activity) is associated with the moon and indicates spiritual activity and/or spiritual evolution and the mystical, magical, and unifying influences.  What such people want and need often comes to them as if by magic.  Key words include: service, spiritual completion, transformation, psychological endeavors and unfoldment.  It signifies seeking and the spiritual or deeply religious; but, in the health aura, it could also indicate heart and stomach trouble.

White, the music note, "sol" sometimes called the perfect color, is what most people are striving for.  It's associated with the planet Jupiter and it's been said that if our souls were in perfect balance, then all our color vibrations would blend and we would have an aura of pure white, or white with a golden rim as people say Christ had.  His is sometimes shown in ancient paintings, particularly those depicting Him after the resurrection.  His newly risen vibrations were said to have been so powerful that anyone touching Him would have been killed -- shocked as if by a live wire.  People with a lot of white in their auras can be said to be "highly motivated."  White has the qualities of all the colors and denotes a healing ability or experience (for themselves and/or for those around them.  Such a person is definitely not a spiritual novice as the beauty of white light attracts all beings at every level of existence.  People with white are very loving beings and are here to help others in transition or to make transitions themselves. White's key words include: purity, clarity, release, challenge turned to gain, and illumination.

Yellow, musical note "mi" the second primary color, represents the planet Mercury.  The greatest spiritual weapon of man is his intellect, so mind is associated with the sun's color in this world.  Spontaneity is associated with yellow, and such a color brings warmth, variability, expectancy, originality, and exhilaration to a person.  Most yellows are representative of the intellect.  Descriptive words include: sunshine, joy, acquired knowledge, intellectual fulfillment, and illumination.   Such people's, energy shines like the warmth of the sun.  It symbolizes health, wellbeing, and friendliness, but its negative side can include timidity, and/or weakness of will.  Golden yellow almost always indicates health and wellbeing.  Such people usually take good care of themselves, don't worry, learn easily, and good mentality is natural in them.  They're usually found to be happy, friendly, and helpful.  Ruddy yellow usually indicates timidity.  In a redhead, it often reveals an inferiority complex.  Such people are apt to be indecisive and weak in will, and/or inclined to let others lead them.
