Hi Terry and Marie, Happy Holidays to you both. We've been following your adventure since the beginning and have enjoyed all of your updates. The pictures are great. They remind us of the warmth and beauty of the Carribbean. Enjoy it! If you have a chance, sail over to An uilla. It's a quiet and peaceful island, very friendly people, good restaurants and a few really nice resorts. They have some beautiful beaches. You might enjoy the diversion. It's quite different from St. Thomas or St. Martin. You'll enjoy St. John t o. Most of the island is a national park, but they have a few nice resorts and good restaurants too. I can appreciate the odd feelings towards Christmas when it's hot and sunny outside. I just returned from a trip to Australia where it was 90+ in Sydney for several days. Nice but it's not really the same feeling of Christmas. Just say the word and we' l box up some snow and ice to send to you. It's colllllddd in NJ!! Take good care, Have a Happy and Safe Passage in 2001 and keep the updates coming. Regards, Dennis and Marilyn

Great web page glad to see some of your photos and map, looks like a way to go. I'll continue to watch .......Terry , my uncle lived on Trunk Bay ,St John for 22 years, when you go into the harbor look over to 2:00 & up on a rise +/- 30ft above the wate and you will see 3 or 4 small homes, that is where he lived, running a small welding shop and drinking $1.00 a gallon rum fresh from the distillery. He returned to the states in 1988 when his wife became ill & needed medical treatment etc, it was very good while it lasted. Well its late, some of us must still do the daily grind, have a very happy holiday and a fair wind..............Walter Joyce

I just sold my Sabre 30 which I owned for 15 years and am in the process of buying a new Sabre 402 (i.e, 40') They will be star ing production in early 2001, with delivery scheduled for around the end of May, 2001. That is also when I will probably be retiring after 40+ years here at Merck. My immediate sailing plans will be to get acquainted with my new yacht, sailing in New Engl nd waters and then to start planning and heading south. So, if ok, I'll be asking a lot of questions about going south of you and who knows, maybe even meet up with you for 2001 Christmas. Will e-mail again soon. Happy Holidays! Tom Gutwein

Hello Terry and Marie! I sent an email but I wanted to be sure you get this message so I put it here too. My mom and dad have a couple of questions. What type of clothing should they bring sailing with you? Where in Annapolis, Maryland will they be meeting you? Please give exact address. Please email me back your response or try to call if you want. Hope things are great! Terri

Hey guys - great website. Liz just gave me the address. I hope you put as much time in to tracking your travel coordinates as you apparently have put in to your website!! I don't want to see you getting lost. This is a great way to keep in touch. I'm mpressed by the 1100 hits you've had on it - do you really know that many people?! Maybe you should start putting some advertising on the page - that would be quite the gig - sail around the world and make $$ at the same time. I'll be checking in frequently - enjoy. Mary, Allison and I will miss you greatly over the holidays.....Keith

T & M, Finally got around to reading all the news. Glad to hear you're doing so well. I'm jealous. Ollie has settled in as a serious member of the family and is being enjoyed by all. He spent a lot of time in the lake yesterday, mostly retrieving tennis balls, w ich he does with the most extraordinary and unending enthusiasm. I'd like to find some employees with his sense of urgency; I think he'd keep going after tennis balls at 100 per cent until he dropped over dead. (Don't worry, I'll fail long before he.) We just returned from taking the new boat down to Hampton, Va and back, with, of course, all three kids, and, of course, no dogs. Wonderful boat, an absolute pleasure to sail, and we're seriously back into sailing. It feels good after so long a time. We d love to see you when you get to the Chesapeake. Give us an e-mail or something and maybe we can get together. Allan

Your website is so cool!!! And very detailed, thank you. I would have hung out in Maine too long, too. I cruised the coast of Maine on a Womanship cruise 10 years ago and became very familiar with the fog. I was very impressed with the person down below w tching the radar. My parents took me on a vacation to Nova Scotia when I was 15. We had lunch in Peggy's Cove. Don't know where that is in relation to where you are. It was foggy then, too. Look forward to reading more of your journey.

Hi Terry and Marie, We're enjoying your postings and your adventure so far. You are visiting some of the places we visited last summer with "Merrimac." We skipped Block last year, spent a stormy night at Cuttyhunk, had a beautiful sail to Onset (the town hat time forgot....but the yacht club is great and we found a very capable diesel mechanic who didn't overcharge), motored through the CC canal, stopped at Plymouth, Hingham, picked up friends who trained it to Boston, then on to Marblehead. We spent thre days in Marblehead due to the fog, and then needed to head south to begin our journey home. Took the long way with a few more stops in Cape Cod. What a beautiful place to sail! Next week we will be sailing north once again, looking forward to joining the RYC group in Block. Keep us posted on your travels. Take care and smooth sailing. Dennis & Marilyn Carpini

We bottled our wine this past weekend with the group including Jim & Carol ( missed having your corking and labeling expertise of course). The wine came out much better than expe ted. Still needs another 6 months of ageing and it will be ready for serving at an Italian feast. Please let us know when you will be returning to lil'old N. J. and we'll plan to get together. Miss you both and have a safe trip. Ralph & Elly

July 10, 2000 Wish we'd known your plans little sooner! We are right on your route to Maine, especially if you plan to go through the Cape Cod Canal. You ccould pull into Fidler's Cove Marina, between the Cleveland Ledge Light and the canal. Course from t e light is 075 for 2.5 miles into Megansett Harbor (red nun), then right to 105 for .2 mi. where you'll see a short line of bouys marking the cove entrance. The marina is on your left coming in. We are right across the cove from the marina. Our phone numb r is (508) 563-9197 and we'll be here until the end of July, when we will be taking a quick trip to Calif. Hope yo get this in time! Hope to see you. Gene
