After we recieved Zach's diagnosis, we struggled with not giving up on him. It was utterly devastating to be told that your child's life would be so short. A typical baby shower was not appropriate to have because Zach would not be with us for long. We were not even sure if we would be able to bring him home with us at all. But we were still compelled to celebrate and honor the life that Zachary did have. Our wonderful friends wanted to honor him with us and so they threw Zachary a party. We thank God for Zachary and the life that he did have--though short as it was. He touched the lives of countless people and changed our world forever. |
