1980 Z/28 FRESH FROM THE BANKRUPTCY AUCTION 02/17/99, SHOWING 93,257 2 OWNER MILES. MOTOR IA A LITTLE DIRTY, BUT ALL THERE. AIR INDUCTION FLAPPER  NOT WORKING, FIXED THE PEDAL SWITCH. PRETTY CLEAN INTERIOR THAT HAD 1 RIP ON THE DASH PAD AND HEADLINER WAS IN THE TRUNK ALONG WITH THE STOCK RADIO. i REPLACED THE HEADLINER AND HAD THE DASH PAD RECOVERED AT JUST DASHES. I ALSO ADDES A 130MPH SPEEDO AND RESET IT TO MATCH THE CURRENT MILEAGE OF THE CAR. I REPLACED THE FADED CARPET AND REPAINTED THE INTERIOR PARTS TO FRESHEN THEM UP. I TRIED TO REPAINT THE FRONT SPOILER AND SIDE SPOILERS THAT WHERE CHIPED, WHEN I SHOT THE PIECES IN THE FACTORY COLOR THEY SHOWED HOW FADED AND DIRTY THAT THE CARS PAINT HAD BECOME.
I DECIDED TO REPAINT THE CAR AT THAT TIME, WAS GOING TO REPAINT IT THE SAME COLOR BUT THEN I CHANGED MY MIND AND DECIDED TO GO W/ 81 SPECTRA RED WITH THE SILVER STRIPE PACKAGE. 2 1/2 YEARS LATER I'M STILL TRYING TO GET THE PAINT WORK DONE, BUT SINCE THEN I HAVE REBUILT THE MOTOR, TRANS AND REAREND. 350 +.030  WITH KB HYPER PISTONS,PJ GEAR DRIVE, VORTEC HEADS. I HAVE ADDED HEDDMAN SHORTY HEADERS AND A FLOWMASTER AMERICAN THUNDER EXHAUST SYSTEM. THE REAREND HAS THE STOCK 342.1 GEARS NOW DRIVEN BY A POWERTRAC UNIT. REPLACED ALL THE FRONT END PARTS AND THE REAR SPRINGS, ADDED 11/2" FRONT BAR AND 1" REAR BAR.
