See 'Fahrenheit 9/11' before judging Moore
To the editor:

As a longtime Call reader, I felt compelled to write on a topic that we've all been hearing about lately, the controversial "Fahrenheit 9/11."

The movie, highly critical of the Bush administration, has been repeatedly attacked for being "un-American" and unsupportive of American troops.

If you actually opened your mind and saw the film before reviewing it, you would know that Michael Moore does not hate America; he wants to change it for the better. He also is not unsupportive of the troops.

Contrarily, he's deeply concerned with their safety. I have heard numerous television programs, St. Louis radio shows and people calling Moore a liar, and that he has no real sources. Not one of these people have actually seen the movie to see that he is not simply presenting information, but showing irrefutable evidence and examples of the points made.

I'm not telling anyone to like or hate Moore. But if one is to publicly oppose the film — simply because they don't like Moore — his or her opinion is invalid, because there is nothing to support it.

So please see the movie, but at least have something on which to to base your opinion.

I don't care for Bush, but I'll always listen to him before I say anything.
