The Big Easy... NEW ORLEANS
Orlando, Florida... GATORS NEST!
The first stop we made when we hit New Orleans, Louisiana was Bourbon Street in the famous French Quarter!  Don't  think that Mardi Gras is the only time this place sees action.  We were greeted by a crowd of people. A horse drawn carriage driven by a Cajun in a straw hat set the tone because he was quite cordial and didn't mind stopping his trot to give us directions and a smile!
A hotbed of unrepentant debauchery. Bourbon Street is lined with all sorts of people & fun! From "Female Impersonators" to "The Dark Entry" www.darkentry.com A shoppe that caters to fetishes & Betty Page enthusiasts! There's something for everyone no matter what you're into.
Not a total "Sin City" New Orleans has a great & vast pool of culture to draw from & enjoy.  Walking the street you can hear guitars and troubadours spreading joy & music through the city  These are pictures of the local musicians at "The Famous Door" laying down the tunes!!
Artisans and master craftsmen from around the world come to sell their wares in New Orleans.  I took the opportunity to quickly snap this picture and show you the gallery I visited.  New Orleans is spoken of in often Mythic Tones when it come to their food & culture!  On this trip, I found out why!  At the Cafe' Vieux Carre Restaurant. The service alone was worth the trip!!
Now on most birthdays in Orlando, Florida you'd think someone would want to go to say.....Sea World, or Bush Gardens.  NOT JIM (Above) he wanted to visit the exciting and wonderful world of "Gatorland" (I'm not making this up folks)  And from the pictures above you can see that from his day of watching the pros wrestle those vicious gators he was brave enough to try it on one of those vicious beasts himself!!  We actually had a blast and learned a lot about a misunderstood animal!!
These were taken at Universal Studios, Florida.  This little charabanc bus's name alone emulates & identifies my lifes' journey. A Magical Mystery Tour. This is the actual tour bus used by the Beatles in the Circa 1966-1967 tour by the same name.  I wish I'd taken more pictures for you all on this trip but the entire Adventure was a "by the seat of our pants" whimsical indulgence!
