The Yellowstone Wolves

The wolves of Yellowstone have claimed a victory.  A victory for Nature.  And a victory for all of us.  On January 13th, 2000, the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver, Colorado ruled in favor of the appeal to leave the wolves in their natural habitat of Yellowstone National Park and central Idaho.  To learn more of this wonderful event, go to the following link.

Yellowstone Wolf Decision

Wolves have been a part of the wild long before America was tamed.  Some Native American tribes looked to the wolf as a symbol to be honored.  They look to the wolf for guidance of spirits.  The wolf is their brother.

There are many sites available to gather more detailed information on wolves (see links below).  What I would like to do is try to tell you why the wolf is special to me.

My brother, the wolf is special to me because I feel a connection to him.

Ever since I saw the movie, Dances With Wolves, I fell in love with the wolf, TWO SOCKS.  I watched him more than Kevin Cosner!  Afterwards, I started reading anything I could...I found a book called Dancing With The Wheel by Sun Bear.  In it, it spoke of finding your animal spirit guide.  I did as was instructed and I truely believe that the wolf is my Spirit Guide, or Totem...
