On March 04, 2005, Mercury distance 161,670,200 km.  

On March 09, 2005, Mercury distance 146,840,000 km.  

On March 13, 2005, Mercury distance 133,044,600 km.. 

B.  Retrograde    

On March 20, 2005, Mercury distance 112,107,800 km. The Dark Earth seen from Mercury at the East. The Mercury retrograde After sunset until April 03, 2005.

On April 06, 2005, Mercury distance 94,044,500 km. The Dark Earth seen from Mercury at the West. The Mercury retrograde before sunrise until April 12, 2005.

March 13, Distance Earth from Sun is 149,660,000 km and  Mercury from Sun is 59,165,500 km.

March 30, Distance Earth from Sun is  149,567,200 km and Mercury from Sun is 65,915,800 km.

April 10, Distance Earth from Sun is  149,599,200 km and Mercury from Sun is 58,063,100 km.

Distance Mercury from Sun is  change significant .

So, Why Retrograde ?   a). Mercury Retrograde happen when Mercury relative turn to the left in orbit to sun but Earth in length orbit relative straight.

b).Illustration image upside  explain us that Retrograde all planet happen when Earth Map rotate backward to the Left (to east).  If The World Map Rotate to the right (to west) is  leaves. ( Mars Retrograde is the easy sample explain) 

C.  After Retrograde  

Since April 12, 2005. Mercury revolved  to the left  leave out The Earth..
