From I-95 (New Haven or New London)
Take exit 62 (Hammonasset State Park) off I-95. Head North on the Hammonasset Connector, for approximately 3 miles. Turn right at the stoplight at Green Hill Rd. After about 1 mile you will cross a bridge into the town of Killingworth. At the top of the hill directly following the bridge, veer left onto the unpaved Paper Mill Road. Deer Lake is at the very end of Paper Mill Road.

From I-91 (Hartford)
Take exit 22S (State Route 9) off I-91 (left-hand exit). Take exit 9 off Rte. 9 onto Rte. 81 South. Follow Rte. 81 for about 8 miles. At the traffic circle, continue south and take your second right onto Green Hill Road. After about 2 miles, turn right onto River Road. The first right off of River Road is the unpaved Paper Mill Road. Deer Lake is at the very end of Paper Mill Road.

From I-84E (Danbury)
From I-84E, take exit 27 onto I-691. Follow this for about 8 miles until it turns into Rte. 66. Follow this for another two miles to the first stoplight. Take a right onto Rte. 147 and continue five miles to the end. At the light, take a right onto Rte. 17. After a mile and a half, take the left fork onto Rte. 79. Follow Rte. 79 for about 8 miles. At the traffic circle, head east on Rte. 80. After 1.7 miles, you will see a sign for Deer Lake Boy Scout Reservation. Take this right onto Chestnut Hill Road. Continue for 2 miles, then take a left onto River Road. After about a half of a mile, you will come to a stop sign. Take this left onto Paper Mill Road. Deer Lake is at the very end of Paper Mill Road.
