Coward's Heart

Stake through my heart
Stake through my mind
Pain in my chest
Where do I find

Flood the rush
The flow is clear
Feelings lush tin
Holding you dear

Questions raised by that untold
Understandings that just won't mold
Alien inside denies reveal
Like fruit of the hear that just won't peel

I saw you and knew you like midsummer's day
The thought of you won't wish away
We talk and listen and work in play
But things are left with being to say

You peer in my eyes and see through my sight
But my body leaves in endless night
Knowing you know comes forth in might
It attackes my soul in endless blight

Emotions unknown beofre tonight
As I bid thee farewell and goodnight
It feels as if this so right
Raised questions anew all in spite

So many thoughts
So much fear
Retraced thoughts on what was so clear
Afraid to lose what became so dear

Untwist my my mind from hellish rake
Percieve what lost for losing sake
You say tyhe same in the word of true
Claiming that which can't be faked

You pull away from me like new
Jester and sneer without a clue
I'm lost confused and ever so blue
And I can't help thinking I miss you

Dedicated to the search for the one love of my life and to she who becomes that soul.
