One of seven areas in the world, GRAND LAKE is home to the Paddlefish or Spoonbill as they are sometimes called. They are found in the Neosho River and Grand River below the Pensacola Dam. A fall spectacle is the annual fall migration of the American White Pelcan to GRAND LAKE.

GRAND LAKE was rated #1 BASS LAKE  in Oklahoma 1995 and 1996 . Chosen by BassMaster magazine as one of the TOP 10 lakes in the US for a vacation choice. It usually takes a 20 plus lb stringer to win in tournaments. A Tuesday night jackpot out of Barker's Edge Water Resort (6:30PM to 10:30PM) four fish limit has been taking 16 to 18 lbs to win.
