....speaking of photography, I had taken some really terrific 
pictures of the flooding (Oct '98) and the mud depth in the
house, but the people who came to help by ripping out the 
carpet, also ripped off the camera (with the film still in 
it, having had a few more shots to take of the clean-up 
process. Some people really like to kick someone when
 they are already down!!!!)

same old same old ---1-15-05---
time flies. . . 7-20-99////and into the year 2000///
another year, waiting for financial help 
before repairs can be made

Ho(ho-ho)-hum . . . what holiday season?
just more cleaning and repairing
every evening after work and on
weekends, and more of the same 
for the holidays

yeah, it came and went with lots more work, 
and no fun ---things are bound to get better 
some day (so I keep saying)
but optimism has proven to be foolish

now we have spring, and I am still (never-ending)
flood cleaning, and hope no more floods come
through my house before I get it all cleaned up 
from the last two . . . no, not next to a river, 
but developers (putting in mobile homes)
changed the land behind me . . . and are doing so
again this spring, too!
Frustration
  why try?
     tiredness....

Here we are in hot, humid weather again! Just hope the 
rains remain just that (no floods). May '99

Enter the heat and humidity! 
     Too hot for camping around here!

Now the humid, hot summer, which discourages me
from really getting down to some heavy-duty cleaning
and replacing (hard work) . . .

soon the anniversary of the flood last year
(you know, Oct 17th) . . . 
hoping there will be no repeat performance!

yeah, no flood the next year October (1999)
but not much of anything else with cutbacks at work,
so need to get job and money to keep from winding up
on the streets with nothing, and what about my animals

have always helped others, now need help and get none
 . . . January 2000 and still a junkyard----
where is compassion?
why be left without assistance when I am only a
quarter of a mile outside the city limits???

soon to be 2002, and the world disasters overshadow
any that I have had, but at least people are helping 
those in the news and in groups of victims
it is the individuals who always continue to lose.

Between jobs again . . .
could use some financial assisstance!

well,.I hope to someday recover from the big October 17th 
flooding --- mud, mold, and mildew problems have
come first so as to make the place liveable again, so then 
the re-building, which takes precedence over web page
 work........

well, back in the house after 5 weeks, but still
so very much to do . . . 
spent 3000 dollars, just to get the cleaning, 
disinfecting, AC/heater fixed, replace a few simple 
appliances (toaster, mixer, plates, utensils, small 
temporary refridgerator, pot, skillet, etc.), and some 
replacement clothes, shoes, underware, and bedding ---
probably another four months of cleaning to go before it
is really back to decent
spending going past 12,000 already, and still much more 
to do and repair and replace
---pray for a miracle!!!---please . . .

9-9-99 update:  now the assistance people want to pay off
the mortgage and bulldoze the house (which leaves me out 
in the streets with nothing), and they can't understand 
why I am not jumping up and down with joy!

and work is crumbling all around us ------

the saga continues year after year......
yes, even now, in the year 2004...
but I am finally mentally prepared to tackle
whatever I can as I get the bit-by-bit funds

uh-oh *** rattlesnake at the front door ***
2004-need financial help

....many others have disasters worse, but also receive enormous help...

2006...still struggling....
