Welcome to our Team

Our Racing Dogs

TAKU

Taku is my main race leader and probably best dog. He never gives up and is always willing to please. He is about 45 lbs. He constantly runs, even on steep hills he will be keep that speed up.

Anzac

Anzac is Taku's brother and he has a similar work ethic. He loves attention and loves to play. He will run lead with his brother or in wheel on our 6 dog main team and he excels in both positions. He and his brother share a pen together and the same dogbox at races.

Dawson

Dawson is a big strong male. He made our 6 dog mainteam at 1.5 years old.  He got better every run this year. He is a sweet dog that loves to be petted but once in harness he turns into a gnarly sleddog.  He will scream and bite at the lines and other dogs until he starts running.  On hills he is probably our best dog as he will dig in even harder. I look forward to seeing how good he will get next year.

Nelson

Nelson is a littermate to Dawson. He is a medium sized male.  He is one of the most hyper dogs I have. He is also one of the fastest at only two years old as he ran on our 6 dog main team every race. He got better every race as well and I am looking forward to to see how they run next year with another year of maturity.

Iskut

Iskut is a tall leggy female with a smooth gait.  She ran on our main team a couple of races this year.  She still has to work on her top end speed.  She is very strong and will hopefully be running on our main 6 dog team all of next year.

Denali

Denali is a young half race half show dog that has amazing drive and determination.  She is also surpisingly  fast dogs as well. We ran her lead on our mainteam this spring during training on some very fast trails and she kept up just fine.  Because she is quite small she will probably run lead on our 2nd  6 dog team.

Axel

This will be Axel's first year of racing. He is a big male that is a little on the chunky side right now but he runs very well.  We have hooked him up on some short runs with some of our older dogs and he looks like he will run quite well.  The first few runs he was so excited that he squealed and screamed for the first kilometre while running. we are hopong that he may make our six dog main team next year on some of the slower trails.

Kalum

Kalum is a litter mate to Taku and Anzac.  She runs in our main 6 dog team when the trails are fast because she has incredible top end.  She does not go crazy like the rest of the dogs when hooking them up to run. She is a small female at 35 lbs but her lines are always tight and she never flinches or slows when going down hills or at high speeds. She can climb over most fences so she has to be chained all the time.

Tetsa

Tetsa is the final littermate to Kalum, Anzac and taku. She is a hard worker in point or team but gets too distracted when run in lead. She is probably the most hyper dog I own. She starts screaming if I walk any where near the dog yard. At 35 lbs she is small but will run forever at high speeds.  She goes nuts while in harness and will chew unless watched. She will climb over most fences as well if not chained.  She will probably run lead or point in our second 6 six dog team neaxt year.

Bulkley

Bulkley is probably the strongest dog I have. He loves to run and will start crying during hookup. He is a little spooky at times towards strangers. He would not run when I got him. He specialized in being a drag but the price was right ( free). I worked with him all summer taking him to shopping centres and crowds and getting him used to people. He wouldn't even walk on a leash. After leash work and then running with another dog he has finally become a steady worker. He will probably be a wheel dog next year in my 4 dog team as he does not quite have enough top speed when running on fast trails in a 6 dog team.

Tsiu

Tsiu is a tall leggy female. She weighs about 45 lbs. She is a very hyper dog that loves to run.  She became a really good leader this year once we gave her a chance.  She ran lead on our 2nd 6 dog team  most of this year and lead on our 4 dog team when there were 4 dog purebred races.

Ahlena

Ahlena is the mother of 4 dogs on my main 6 dog team. She has a woolier coat than the rest of the dogs which hurts her in warm temperatures. She either runs good or runs bad when racing. She has a tendency to "sightsee" sometimes. When left behind on training runs she will jump the fence if not chained.  She has shown she can keep up on fast trails but not consistently.

Fraser

Fraser is a big strong male that is still a little uncoordinated and I think still has a fair bit of maturing to do. He loves to run and is very protective of me. He can keep up in the main six dog team but has a tendency to slack off on hills and tougher sections but hopefully he will mature next year and maybe have a spot in the main 6 dog team. He eats very well and loves to play with the other dogs.

Chena

Gage

Gage is a Canadian Show Champion. He runs very well for a show dog. At 9 yrs old he still loves to run. He will run lead on a slower team or wheel with the 4 dog team. He still ran in a few races this year and is great for new people driving the team.

Hanna

Hanna is 3/4 show and 1/4 racing. She loves to run and leads well on a slower team. She also ran in a few races this year and will put on the same miles as the other dogs in training.  She is also good for training puppies.

Mckinley

Kenai

Kenai was our first dog and is now just a pet. She use to run and train but is now just runs around the yard with the others. She is very difficult to catch when she runs around in our fenced yard and she thinks it is a game to try and catch her and put her back in her kennel run. She is the boss of all the dogs. When we let all of them out together in our fenced area no one messes with her or she lets them know.
