Fundraisers

There are many different ides for fundraisers out there.  Check with your local council office for suggetstions.  Your local council may be offering opportunities for the boys to earn money such as the popcorn sale.

Remember if your unit is going to run a fundraiser on its own, it is important to file a Unit Money-Earning Application with your local Scout Office form number 34427.  This will help protect your unit in the event of a problem.

Suggestions
1.  Popcorn sales - helps support the local council and your troop.
2.  Candy Bars - somewhat quick and easy project.
3.  Car washes - can be run in a short amount of time, little overhead.
4.  Breakfast or Dinners - french toast, spaghetti, etc.  Reguires a lot of planning and resources.
5.  Coupon Sales - local pizza or hogie/sub shops may offer opportunities.
6.  Flea Markets - everyone always has items they would like to donate.
7.  Concession Stands - there may be opportunities at fairs, bazzars or Scouting events to run a              concession stand.
