Great page, not sure how I ended up here. I ski the same way I surf(internet) and get lost most of the time but that is what I love to do. Can't wait for the snow this year but I might be stuck going to Snowshoe, WV until I build up more vacation at my new job. The WEST will have to wait a year! Hope to see more ski shots on here this winter.

JINC - Great page! I love hearing others stories that mirror my enthusiasm for skiing. Your writing really captures the feeling of the sport. I'm in the process of getting a house for the winter at Killington. If you make it up north, get in touch. A a fellow Cyberlodger, I would be honored to put you up if needed. Good luck with Floyd. The bastard ruined my trip to Myrtle Beach. Had to reschedule for mid-October. Take care.

In your story of East vs. West, you have one small typo. You said you went to place in the mid atlantic called "Heavenly Valley". There is no such place, I think you meant Hidden Valley, there are 2 Hidden valley's one in Penn and the other in NJ. Ever have any questions about mid atlantic skiing, I've been to most of the resorts and will try to answer them.

Hey JINC, I finally wandered onto your site. I still don't understand what a ski addict like you is doing in North Carolina! JICO (again), JICA, JIME have a nice ring to them. Don't know how you'd pronounce JIVT! Track me down if you make it northwards to the K this winter.

Nice page! I found a reference to your page on SkiNet. Your story about Killington was entertaining and I liked the photos. I went to Killington several years ago before they installed the Sky Ship. The conditions were great and I was impressed with t e extensive snowmaking on Superstar. Check out my page and tell me what you think. I've got a story of my time in Aspen and all my favourite links and photos you'll enjoy. Maybe we could link pages? I'm going to see Snowriders 2 (Warren Miller movie) tomorrow night. I've been looking forward to this day for a long time now. Anyways, it's great to see pages like yours promoting the coolest sport on earth. Keep up the good work. It's snowing in Ottawa--won't be long now! Greg

Not much on skiing. I have found, though, that I have a pretty extreme driveway. You have to maneuver the incline (steep), avoid the trees and bushes on either side, and be careful not to branch off to the side parking spot. Oh yeah, and you must be ab e to stop to prevent going into the steep ditch on the other side of the street. Sounds like a diamond, right? From the forecasts about this winter, it sounds like there will be frequent opportunities to ski it!

Hello! I used to just like to ski, that was until I moved to Colorado Springs for a few years, 1991-1993. I got to ski at some of the best ski areas in the country and got hooked. When I moved to CO, I was an intermediate-advanced skier, meaning I coul ski groomed blacks, but not the bumps. Neither could I jump turn. Well, after 25 ski days and 3 snowboard days, I have to say I encounter very few trails I won't attempt. That isn't to say I look graceful or anything, but I can hold my own out there. The 2 remaining areas where I need improvement are getting comfortab e with big air (I can take a 5' cornice no prob, but get really nervous with anything higher), and tree skiing. Last year I skied at Killington for a day and thought Julio (a new tree run) was a blast, but too difficult for me to go much more than 20-50' before stopping and regrouping. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the stories I post here. They won't be updated really often, but I still like to read them myself. It just gets me all giddy and excited for my next ski adventure!
