The goal of this web site is to encourage others to seek out these   beautiful and historic endangered "Aids to Navigation". In 1995, we visted St. Augustine Light and became aware of the plight of our American Lighthouses (another one of our endangered species). We decided to visit as many of the lights as we could in our future travels. We had planned to tour the United States and visit friends and relatives thoughout the states. We always wanted to check out the Lighthouses of the states so we added Lighthouses to our itinerary. While in the northeastern part of the country we visited lighthouses in New Jersey. One was at the southern tip called Cape May Light, the other was Barnegat Light located in the middle on Long Beach Island.

On the way back to Florida we saw Hereford and Cape May in New Jersey,  Also Fenwick Light in Delaware. After a ferry ride we headed for the Outer Banks, there we visited Assateaque, Cape Henry, Bodie Island, Cape Hatteras and Ocracoke Lighthouses.
This trip also included two more ferry boat rides which we really enjoyed.

After a short visit back to Florida
we flew to Seattle Washington, U.S.A.
