FIRE PLACE ROCK

The boulder spot of Sandrock. It offers several moderate to extremely hard problems. The north and south end both abound with solution pockets. It also offers some of the best, if not only, low level roof work. (You can stay in the roof for at least 30 feet). Be careful here becuase the ground is really packed and as hard as the rock you're climbing. Don't climb higher then you're willing to fall onto rock. I have set a top rope here, but had to use a 9mm rope to reach a tie off.
From the parking area, walk toward the valley and there it is, a large fireplace, blackened by (you guessed it) fire.
