Rocktalk and Eclimb - discussion boards. MtN forum - climbing discussion forums. FRCC - Lakes-orientated message board, hosted by the Fell & Rock Climbing Club. UK climbing - general England/Wales climbing mag site, with New Routes database. PlanetFear - revised scared climbing mag site with forums. ScotlandOnline - climbing news and profiles from north of the border. ClimbScotland - another scottish site, offering news, but also crag guides and photo gallery. |
Information Sites Rockfax - homepage of the guidebook team, easily the most profession UK climbing site on the web with monthly features and regular route and access updates to their guidebooks. MegaGrip - home to some topos of recent (esoteric) Peak sport crags, and lots of product placement. BMC - the usual stuff, access updates and an admirable attempt to get climbers to share cars. UK bouldering - general site with movies that don't work for me, hey ho. Lake District climbing. Yorkshire Grit - a bit of news and galleries, and videos. Iggy's Yorkshire Bouldering - another site for the baggy shorts and big mats brigade Yorkshire Bouldering - as it says on the tin. Peak Bouldering - have these people forgotten what ropes are for? CragX - Peak-centric hard sport-climbing site, with occasional topo, usually by living legend Keith Sharples. Lundy Island - travel and route info. Rock and Groove - good US on-line mag, with regular news reports and much less 'Sharma' bias than I gave it credit for. TheDeadPoint - promising US on-line mag with some news items; very swish. Rock and Ice - monthly american mag online. Climbing - another monthly american mag online. Why can't the british ones do this? Catcha flaket - JUG!! - Excellent swedish online magazine, with a great name. Can't understand a word of it though. Mnet Mountain Net - very impressive Italian online mag. Serious Clowning - John Redhead 'product' site. Very good photo slide-show and insight to the man behind his more famous route names. Johnny Dawes Inc. - workshops and madness available for the curious. Onsight Photography - Simon Carter's stunning photos of Oz climbing Scottish Rock - Gary Latter's excellent guiding service, and some new route information. More nice pictures soon I hope!
