Imagine, if you will, the passing of time since you
bought a new pair of bike shoes. And over that time, you used them almost everyday. What
would happen to parts of those shoes?
One day, while putting on my shoes, the leather strap
holding the metal ring broke rendering the velcro strap useless.
While organizing monthly bills, I came across one of
those butterfly paperclips and lightbulbs started flashing in my head.
I bent out the paperclip so that it was shaped like a
lowercase 'e' and gently inserted the ends between the stitching.
Voila! Now I can use the strap again so that the shoes
will not fall off my foot. Just remember, this is a quick fix. It should do just fine
until I can get my shoe fixed by a shoe-repair shop.
Just be careful when bending the paperclip. Some of
them have a chrome coating that can be very sharp.
