I am a formally qualified translator with extensive experience gained through working and living in three continents. I specialize in commercial, legal and technical translations, focusing on both the telecommunications and educational fields.

Prior to being a freelance language consultant, I had several years of marketing, customer service and teaching experience.

I graduated as a Certified Public Translator from the prestigious University of Cordoba in Argentina. This degree is widely regarded as the premier translation qualification in South America. I previously received a teaching degree for both English and Spanish languages. I completed post-graduate study at Harvard University, USA and recently graduated from a Hispanic Leadership Development Program.

1997 - 1998: Latin American Customer Support, MAS Technology Limited, New Zealand

One-year contract to provide translation, interpreting and customer service support for MAS Technology's Spanish speaking customers.

MAS Technology is a Nasdaq listed provider of advanced telecommunication solutions. Latin American customers accounted for approximately 30% of the company’s business.

1995 - 1997: Office Manager, Marine Air Services Limited, Argentina

Full-time office manager providing bilingual technical and cultural support for 20 New Zealanders contracted to Argentina as part of a $20 million dollar, two year telecommunications installation project.

1989 -1991: 1990 - 1992: English Teacher, Argentina

English teacher at the Instituto de Cultura Inglesa and the Instituto de Educación Integral, Salta, Argentina, teaching six to thirteen year olds.
