Young Musicians for Volunteer Action is a non-profit, student-run group devoted to using musical abilities to bring some happiness and enjoyment to people in the community. Originally formed in 2001 to raise funds for victims of the terrorist attacks against the United States, the organization has since performed numerous times at assisted living residences, taught music classes for underprivileged children, and held collections for those in need. The members, all high school-aged students in the Princeton, NJ area, juggle rigorous academics with musical studies, at times on more than one instrument, and have collaborated to arrange over 60 events in the past two years.
