The purpose of this project is to patrol troublesome segments on the roads of YESHA. These patrols will include the following activities:
1) Foot patrols/checks of roadside hills that overlook large segments of the road
(These hilltops are used by the terrorists as lookout and ambush points.);
2) Escort for worried residents traveling alone or late at night;
3) Surprise checkpoints on the roads to inspect Arab vehicles;
4) Show armed Jewish presence on the roads.
These patrols will also act as a pressure tool on the IDF who claim that they do not have enough manpower to cover the roads of YESHA effectively. WE will help them. Once we start these patrols, the IDF will miraculously find more manpower. We also need to get the residents used to the idea of taking care of themselves.
