| Bess is a Bichon/Yorkie. I adopted her from a pet rescue place on April 17, 1999. She was abandoned and abused before we got her. She was 2.5 years old. She had cataracts in both eyes and the doctor said she would progressively lose her eyesight, so the family got together $1000 and got her left eye fixed. Her full name is Bessiemae Rose and she is a very lovable dog. She is gentle with children and never bites. I comb her once a week so that her hair doesn't get tangled and matted and she gets a bath once a month. I feed her munchy sticks to keep her teeth pearly white and her gums healthy. She is a bit shy around strangers but she is confident and even silly around us. She is very smart. She trots when she walks. She loves to take walks to the park and eat munchy sticks.
