It is too hot to even think outside. I am trying to be a good pr executive and catch up on my current events by reading all three dailies online at once, but failing miserably. Maybe I should renew the newspaper subscription I am still expensing work for ...

Fond a fantastic CD recently by the Buena Vista Social Club that is full of this earthy Cuban jazz. Makes me feel like lounging in a smoky jazz club in a slinky red dress with a cigar in my mouth. But since I'll never do that, a CD is a good substitute...

Also watched Felicity today for the first time in ages and felt so sad for poor Ben Covington who is so undeservedly being shafted by cheating, lying, drunk Felicity. As always. my passionate involvement in the affairs of non-existent individuals continues to amaze me...

Boys and girls--As you will no doubt be overjoyed to see, I am back from a month long hiatus. I know, I know, you all missed me to the point of desperation. Never fear--Roxy is here. And I promise to be more committed in the future. And now, an exciting update on the ongoing saga that is my life. In the past month, I have:

1) Written a stellar proposal for a radio documentary which, after much persistance, pleading, and begging...got rejected.

2) Sent poetry to leading poetry publications in an ambitious and noble effort to capitalize on my writing class output and achieve admirable mediocrity. Curiously enough, have not heard back...

3) Studiously slaved over a computer for several minutes at a time to thoroughly prepare for GMAT to one day get into business school. Six problem sets and countless Caramel Macchiatos later, still cannot figure out data sufficiency problems or why they might remotely impact my career as a high powered public relations executive/magazine editor/educated vagrant.

4) Racked up a substantial library card fine, causing them to exile me forever and threaten severe disciplanary action in the form of reorganizing the Dewey Decimal System.

All this in a mere month. My commitment and passion to the inexhaustible human spirit serves as an inspiration to all who meet me. ..

And now, folks, on to other areas...let's try to whip this site back into shape, shall we?
