Snakes of Eddy County, New Mexico

NM Map

I started herping (looking for reptiles and amphibians) when I was young and I lived in Missouri.  Snakes have always fascinated me, so I actually took time to go out in the woods or to the river to look for them.  I moved to New Mexico when I was 12 years of age and didn't start herping again until 10 years later.  I've started this webpage to show the interesting snakes of  Eddy county, New Mexico.  Eddy county has a few snakes (and other herps) that are very hard to find or not found at all in any other county in New Mexico.
