Pure (Fan) Fiction
This is my first attempt of fan fiction...ever. I do like to read other peoples attempts (some very good and others terribly bad) and have come across a lot that...well lets just say that they take a lot of creative license.
I first discovered the Cybersix series one night when I had come home entirely way to late from work to form coherent thought or muster enough energy to track down the remote for my TV. So I found my self abandoned to the Teletoon network (God knows how I ended up on that channel in the first place), which wasn't a bad thing since the Simpsons were on. Anyway, by the time Bart and family had left, I had managed to crawl to my fridge and consume some very important liquids in multiples, a.k.a. Beer (Don't ask me how I found the energy to find the fridge, but not search for the remote, but I did.). This did not help in my quest to change the channel.
Enter Cybersix. You will have to understand that at the time that I am writing this, I have only been privy to half a dozen of the thirteen episodes that were/have been created. My response when I found out there were only thirteen? Not really printable.
You see, even in my exhausted and slightly intoxicated stupor, I realized that here was the first animated series since the Smurfs that I actually liked (although I can't say much for my taste in television programming when I was five...I thought Mr. Rogers was like a god...mind you, then again, I still do!). Then I watched my next episode (in much better condition) and I realized that here was something HOT!
That was when I got the tragic, tragic news.
"WADAYAMEANTHERESONLY(Insert profanity here)THIRTEENOFTHEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "
So, only thirteen, and I don't read or speak any Spanish beyond "Dos cervesas frois por favor" ("Two cold beers please!" Note that I cannot ask for one, only two...OH NO!). And while my spoken French sound like a mentally handicapped franco-Albertain farmer with a speech impediment, and I do get by quite well, my reading skills are limited to the back of the corn flakes box. Now I am reduced to taping all thirteen episodes like a fanatic and waiting for the momentous event when the comics are translated into English (one day...when I'm eighty). So then, I will write my own!
One thing I must point out now that I have started to write these tales of pure fiction (mind you I could be blatantly plagiarizing the real Cybersix series and not even know it) is that it is so much easier to write when you don't have to dream up the original characters. I just steal!
So now after this rather long winded introduction to my attempt at fan fiction, I invite you to sit back, grab a cervesas frois and enjoy. Please feel free to sign my guest book and tell me what you think. Just try to keep the hate mail to a minimum. As I said, I'm new to this and I've only seen a few! Plus...I don't give a shit what you think!
