Criminal
Justice in Hong Kong and the People's Republic of China:
A Selected Bibliography
This book lists out
a number of published journal articles which cover a
wide range of contemporary issues of crime and justice,
such as types of crime, measurement of crime, juvenile
delinquency, punishment, and white-collar crime. The
bibliography aims at a wide readership, namely students,
lecturers, researchers and those who are interested
in learning criminology and criminal justice in Hong
Kong and the People's Republic of China, thereby stimulating
indigenous development in these areas.
There
are studies of crime, police, court, sentencing, punishment
and corrections, and juvenile delinquency and justice.
Given the quantity of material published on the subject,
it must of necessity be selective rather than comprehensive.
Its central part covers works published mainly in 1990
or later. All entries are alphabetically listed by author
under the following six headings:
-
Crime and its Control;
- Types of Crime;
- Policing;
- Judicial Systems;
- Punishment and Corrections; and
- Juvenile Crime and Justice.

A
Selected Bibliography of the Legal System in Hong Kong
This book aims to organize
teaching materials on the Hong Kong legal system in
the form of journal articles systematically. It serves
as an easy reference for law students who would like
to learn more about the Hong Kong legal system. However,
the bibliography does not include articles from books
and professional journals. This is because journal articles
are more accessible to law students nowadays in the
university library and can easily be obtained by using
the legal database. The bibliography is only a starting
point; it is not to be treated as an exhaustive list.
Students are encouraged to undertake further researches
whenever it suits their needs, and to compile their
own reference materials.
