My Guardian Angel

In July 1992, my daughter Christy Lynn was diagnosed with cancer. The next year in June we were told she was terminal and had about three months to live. On August 25, 1993 she left us to be with the Lord.

During the time prior to her death, Christy Lynn was blessed with someone who sent her cards, flowers and gifts, plus emotional support, always anonymously. This person was an unsung hero, in that Christy Lynn was so touched by this person that she coined the term "My Guardian Angel". She expressed a mutual desire for this ministry to be carried on to others.

In February 1995 I began "My Guardian Angel" as a ministry through Christ Church in Nashville, Tennessee. The joy of seeing what something so simple could do for the young and the seniors were more that I had ever imagined. I know how much the little things can mean to these people.

In this program a "Guardian Angel" is given someone to do the special thing of choice. The main objective is to let your personal angel know they have someone who cares. Someone who doesn't need recognition for what they are doing. They are giving from the heart, emotional support. The gifts you send are of your own choosing as well as your own expense. Everything is to be sent and signed anonymously. The only return address used is "My Guardian Angel's" address.

This will help to secure the secrecy of the guardian angel. You can contact your angel as often as you wish. We hope you will choose to contact your angel once a week.

We are always looking for volunteers to donate their time and talents. Such as haircutting, manicures, clowns, storytellers, crafts.... something to add joy into our angels lives. If you are interested in being part of "My Guardian Angel", please contact the office at

"My Guardian Angel" is a ministry of love in memory of my precious daughter Christy Lynn Crabtrey and in gratitude to her "Guardian Angel". This is about unselfishly giving of oneself through the gift of time and love. I hope someday Christy Lynn's Guardian Angel will know how grateful I am for what she did for my daughter. I hope I can show her what an inspiration she was to both of us.
