The libaray's in the Yakima Valley have computers that you can use, one is right in the neighborhood in Terrace Heights. There is also one in South Yakima and Downtown. Ask the Libarian to help that is what they are pay to do. I E-mailed the Governor of the State of Washington today about the cutting of orchards down and the land use in the Yakima area. It's a shame to see the economic base being cut down, when our land is restricted to developement; which would be good for housing. There is also something that people need to be aware of is, the group Nineridges.org is trying to lock up the land and change the zoning etc. To lock up the ridges to hinder developement.
This is one point of having this web site is to inform and to work as a group (pro or con) to issues that are going to change zoning or restrict developement.
If things happen that you do not like and you sit and do not nothing; than do not complain when issues that involve your land don't go your way. That is one reason for this web site is to get communication going between the land owners.
If someone was interested in forming a group to find funding for roads and water systems this might be a good thing to do. Research could be done on state, federal and possibliy local grants for money for roads.
I am not against locking land up for enviromental purposes but, the land should be bought for these purposes and put into a land bank. It should not be locked up by taking away the rights of the private land owners. Bradley J. Russell
