Brief Professional Biography :

My name is Yair Zimmer. I was born in 1963, and I live in Tel Aviv, Israel.
I received my B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in physics from Tel Aviv University in 1984, 1993 and 2002, respectively. The researches for my M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees were conducted in the Center for Medical Physics, and the theses were entitled as follows :

M.Sc.  :	'' Assessment of cardiac function from short-axis magnetic resonance images using automatic boundary extraction '' .
Ph.D.  :	'' Computerized classification of ovarian masses based on ultrasound images '' .

My research interests include medical imaging, image processing and pattern recognition.

Currently I belong to the academic staff of the Department of Medical Engineeing,
in Afeka - Tel Aviv Academic College of Engineering.
