| Here's a chart that you can follow to help you set up your tournament times. Se's = 30 minutes De's = 2 hours Teams = 2.5 hours Swiss (6 rounds or less) = 1 hour NO tournies to be scheduled at 15 or 45 min start times .. (exception to this is an SE thrown in to fill time) All Td'S are expected to schedule three tournaments per week..Our members look at schedule and thats what they count on is the calendar.. SCHEDULING I want three tournies set up on schedule each week...NO EXCEPTIONS..Players need a schedule to see... SE's can be scheduled to begin 1 hour after a DE starts. This should let us catch the people that are already out of the DE plus the people that came in after it started.. and hopefully keep them around for the next DE/ Swiss. DE's should be scheduled 2 hours apart .. (that means 2 hours before and after another DE) .. its very important that when creating a Tournament that you look ahead in the schedule as well as back. Looking ahead includes (for example) say you are making one for late in the day .. example : 11:00 pm... be sure that there are NONE b4 1 am the next day. DE's should be scheduled 2.5 hours after TEAMS. (yes Teams should only take 2 hours but in teams there is VERY often run over in time so best to give 2.5 hours). If there are enough people waiting .. an SE can always be created and run quickly to keep them occupied. TD's ONCE A WEEKER! Every TD has his or her own special tourney time per week. Same day, Same time and Same type of tourney will be run by that TD each week. This is to hopefully create a following for Our TD's as well as to create a routine for players. As Star has the teams tourney on schedule on Wednesdays each month.. Pick a time best for you and set tournies up in advance.. Of course these tournies can be changed if for example something comes up like a change in work schedule .. illness .. etc. All I ask is that you let Me know (if time allows it) and that way I can find someone else to fill that slot for that particular week. Also , if the time comes that a TD needs a permanant change in this time slot , again np , a new one can be set up. TOURNEY FEES THIS IS ONLY A SUGGESTION .. Tournies are each TD's individual idea and responsibilty. I only even addressed this cuz I have noticed fluctuations in this area. First suggestion is that each TD try to keep the fees pretty much the same for each type of tourney they run depending of course on time of day etc. What I mean is if you charge 35bux , 5 pm today for a DE .. well prolly best to charge it next day same time for a DE. This also lets players get into a routine. Because we are still a fairly new ladder, we have to remember that not a lot of players have an excess of bux. There will be no tourney played anywhere but in the main room...Our Members will not know where to play from time to time...Only a special tourney will be held in special rooms.. It has came to my attention also..People are banning people for very long times.If you have to ban it will be a warning for first offense and then 3 days and then 10 days..... Thank you...
