This page is to keep members & potential members advised of what we're doing and plan to do.
It is appropriate to remember here why we came into being as a Detachment. Two Marine brothers have given our Detachment its legacy as well as its name. You can learn more about them and see photos of them by following the link to "Archives of Pass the Word" and clicking on their names. God, country and Corps! Let's make sure we honor their memories as we strive to serve as worthy members of the Marine Corps League.
As a reminder, these are the basic tenants or purposes of the Marine Corps League:
to band together as former active, reserve and retired Marines to preserve the traditions and interests of the Marine Corps; to promote our nation's ideals; to serve our communities as good citizens, to perpetuate the history of our Corps and memory of all Marines who served, and to aid and assist all Marines and their families. Let's make sure we do our best to follow (or lead) in performing these purposes. Oh, and if you combine all that with a liberal dose of humor and aversion to any kind of internal politics, you have - - The Yagle Brothers Detachment of the Marine Corps League. |
