It has been said that cruising is nothing more than working on your boat in exotic places.  Using that definition, minus the exotic places,I think it can be said that we are now cruising.

Cathy paints inside lockers
Cathy and I spent the last week and a half doing boat projects, primarily trying to get the new water maker installed and working properly.  After doing battle with the water maker for days, and facing the prospect of a long wait while the manufacturer shipped parts, we remembered that this is exactly what it is like to go cruising.  Well, at least some of the time.

Tasting "home made" water
Yesterday we tasted "home made" water for the first time.  With that accomplishment behind us, we are beginning to see that there is an end to the projects.  We still have to do a few more small projects, finish provisioning, and stow everything that we have been keeping at the Georgia Power office.  We expect that it will be a few days before we leave Brunswick.
