"A new street legend has begun..."
Initial D is about a 18-year old boy (Takumi Fujiwara) who started to help his father (Bunta Fujiwara) deliver tofu at the age of 13. Every morning, at 4:00a.m. young Takumi would have to drive the roads of Akina mountain, thus sharpening his driving skills and making him a superb driver. His father would pour water into a foam cup, and tell Takumi not to spill it. Bunta told him that if the water spills, then the tofu would break, but little did Takumi know, there was a hidden reason for the cup of water...
After his first race with Keisuke Takahashi from the REDSUNS team, Takumi developed a desire to race, thus starting his endefeated legend...
