Christa McAuliffe- Teacher, Astronaut aboard the Space Shuttle Challenger
Christa McAuliffe was a pioneer in so many ways.  She was a teacher who always found new and exciting ways to reach out to her students.  When offered the chance to go to space aboard the Challenger, she was ready.  Christa McAuliffe was an educator, an explorer, and a strong female figure.  For me, she will always be as Shakespeare said, "...the observed of all observers".
