1.
With a belt locked about the victims waist, they will
be hoisted above the chair and lowered onto its point. Whether
quickly or
slowly, this depends upon their willingness to repent. Where
the point is placed also depends upon the evil they have enacted.
For some it may the anus, others the genetalia, whether it be
the opening of the woman's hole or beneath the man's scrotum,
or
perhaps it will be the spine which falls victim. For those who
are strong with the devil and do not wish to speak, they will
be
dropped repeatedly onto the spike, or rocked back and forth
to speed the entrance of its tip into your flesh. If the victim
is still
not swayed, weights will be shackled to their belt or limbs.
2.
Also known as le veille (the wake) in French, culla di Giuda
in Italian and Judaswiege in German, this device has not changed
since medieval times. It still in use in some countries. The
victim is raised up by the rope or chain and then lowered until
the
vagina, anus or the coccyx rests on the point. The torturer
could vary the pressure by hanging weights from the victim or
rocking
or raising and dropping the victim from various heights.
3.
This procedure has remained essentially unchanged from the Middle
Ages until today. The victim is hoisted up in the manner
shown in the accompanying illustration, and lowered onto the
point of the pyramid in such a way that his weight rests on
the
point positioned in the anus, in the vagina, under the scrotum
or under the coccyx (the last two or three vertebrae). The
executioner, according to the pleasure of the interrogators,
can vary the pressure from zero to that of total body weight.
The
victim can be rocked, or made to fall repeatedly onto the point.

in French it was known as la veille, "the wake" or
"nightwatch".
