Torture: The Head Crusher

1.
Not much needs be said about this device, except that before the victim dies, they will endure unspeakable pain. Due to the thin
threading, a great many twists are required of the crank before their skull is completely crushed and death releases them.
The victim’s chin will rest on the lower bar, as the cap is placed over the top of their head, and lowered. First, there is mild
discomfort, as the cap is seated firmly, though with each following turn the pressure increases. As it does, first their teeth are
crushed down into their sockets and bone, finally cracking away. The next notable occurrence, aside from the hemorrhaging, is
when the pressure forces their eyes from their sockets. Then at last, the pressure splits the skull, and as if from a floodgate,
their brain bursts forth.

2.
The head crusher has been used since at least medieval times and is still in use today in some countries where padding is used
on the cap and chin rest so as not to leave marks on the victim.

3.
Headcrushers exerted tremendous force on the head by means of a screw. This could be used to force a confession or as a
means of execution. Some headcrushers had a sharp point at the tip of the screw which would drive into the skull, anchoring it for
the pressure of the skull plate.
