Fishing Report
September 14, 2001:
Ahh... it's nice to take a day off to fish on Friday, but there were still many people out there; water/jet skiers plus fishermen. Launched around 10:30 AM and fished until 3:30 PM. Headed towards the spillway, but didn't get any hits. Worked towards the middle arm in the North end. My buddy caught a 1.5# on a crankbait. No hits in the middle arm. Then worked towards the South end. My buddy again caught a 2# on his crankbait. Ended up at the shallow end with tons of weeds. I caught a 1# on a spinnerbait. We called it a day after that.
Where are the lunkers?
September 8, 2001:
Got there around 5:45AM and launched in the moon light. It was tough getting out there with all the vegetation growth, but my buddy and I
worked our way out of the weed beds. Hit the middle arm in the North end and
saw tons of fish on the fish finder on the way there. The shallow has
tons of bait fish and baby bass. I landed a 1.5 pounder there and got other hits. Then caught another 11 incher on the way
to the arm on the right. My buddy landed about an 11 incher on a spinnerbait on the left
arm. We were hoping for some lunkers, but no luck this time. We'll be back.
