September 2003 Rankings

The September quarter sees 11 new teams join the rankings courtesy of the European Cricket Council's ECC Trophy held in Austria. As all the new teams were Affiliate nations, they were all given initial rankings of 100. Norway's win in the Trophy saw it increase its rating to 123 and gain promotion to the ECC Second Division from where it will have a chance of qualifying for the 2007 World Cup in the West Indies.

England were the big movers on the table this quarter with their win in the Natwest Series over South Africa and Zimbabwe pushing them up two places into second position. South Africa lost the most points in the quarter followed by Denmark whose losses to Netherlands and Ireland saw it drop four places in the rankings.

Teams highlighted in yellow played matches in this quarter.
