[3.24.05] I figured out how to make most of the website work. There is no longeran interactive menu to the left, but all necessary links can be found at the top. However, they do not all as of yet work, so please be patient. Also, do not download the p.php file the computer may ask you to. It's not harmless, but it doesn't do anything.

A quick summary: Never Too Late broke up on March 7th 2002 due to members leaving the band and an exhausted desire on my part to keep it going. Bob Calabrese (Bass), Gary Huber (Me, drums) and Nick Huber (vocals, guitar) were founding members of the band. Steve Rausche joined us at lead guitar (check history page when it is up). In late December/early January Bob quit the band, citing the need to expand his musical horizon. Bob, the band you joined (and all bands since) will never be what N2L was. It was tragic that you quit (and our lifetime friendship was never the same). Steve quit about a month later for the same reasons. He went on to a bigger band that broke up too.
***Bob and Steve please understand I mean to say that what we had, the way we wrote songs and hung out and played shows, those things will never feel the same to me. Your later bands may have been better musically or not, but we shared something that is impossible to repeat, and I will always have fond memories.

Bob and Steve were really both irreplaceable, but Nick and I did not want to give up. I moved from drums to guitar (my original instrument in which I wrote half of the songs on anyway), Jason Rovillo joined at drums, and Nathan Serinowski joined at bass. We played four shows (won a battle of the bands contest) before Jason quit, stating that he felt inadequate at the drums (your words Jason, not mine). However, our friendship was ultimately destroyed by the decision because it was a much more personal reason than you led on to believe. I will not disclose that here. Nathan was still with us, but he honestly became unreliable. One day I called Nick and told him that my grades (I was working on a BA in English at the University at Buffalo) were slipping drastically because of the band, and I just couldn't do it anymore. Our hearts were spent. There was some desire left, but we felt that we had exhausted not only ourselves, but the talent pool in Buffalo. To this day, Nick and Steve (in a band with Rich Maida and Josh Daybreak, called The Hollywood Starlet Murders) are in constant search of a drummer, a search that has lasted Nick years.

So what about Gary Late you are asking? I am currently finishing up two Masters at UB, and will spend another year getting certified to teach High School English. I am also a writer working on an Experimental Detective novel. If I ever make music again, I will post it here first. I apologize to you all, because I still receive emails from fans across the world asking us to get back together, and even though it's been three full years since we broke up,. it still feels awesome to read your mail. So drop me a line and we'll talk about the good old days.
