Feedback: I would love to hear from anyone. All I ask is that please don't flame me. This is my first R/L series.
Comments: This is the second in my Acceptance series. This part is also a bit angsty but hopefully there will be a happy ending. Also, I know that this is not how Rogue gets her powers, but let's just pretend, okay.

Logan was itching to let loose the Wolverine on the Professor. The Professor knew, along with everyone else in the room, that he needed someone to blame. Someone, other than himself. He felt too guilty. If he had come back sooner; if he hadn't left at all; if he'd taken her with him, this might never have happened to his girl. That's who she was, his girl and his alone.

"I left her here because I thought that she'd be safe! If I had known that you'd coerce her into joining your crusade, hell, I'd have taken her with me! Here, I thought that she'd have a chance to be a normal kid. She'd get an education, live her life instead of chasing my past with me. With me at least I'd know that she was okay. What the Fuck Chuck! Two months! You waited two fuckin' months to give me a 'mind call'. Fuck that! I called three weeks ago! YOU!" He turned his attack toward Jean pointing an accusing index finger at her; he was barely able to keep the rage in check. Jean backed up slowly toward Scott. "For Christ's sake Jean, you told me that Marie was out with some of her friends, that you had no idea when she'd be back. Well, at least the last part was true, huh? You don't even know if she'll ever be back, do you? DO YOU!?"

"Logan, please calm down. This was no one's fault. This was..."

"No, Chuck, you're wrong. You're fuckin' wrong. I want her out of these restraints."

"Logan," Jean began, "that's not such a good idea."

"Jean, if you don't take these fuckin' things off...NOW. I will." He held up his fist and extended a single metal claw slowly.

"Fine Logan, we'll do this your way. Just don't say that I didn't warn you."

"Yeah. Yeah. After you get those things off; I want you all to leave us alone for awhile."

"Logan..."

"I swear to fuckin' God, Jean, if you tell me that 'this is not a good idea' one more fuckin' time. I'll fuckin' gut you. I'm not in the mood for lectures from you," he pointed at Jean, "or you," he pointed at the Professor and Storm, "or you, either One-Eye. Not now. You can talk 'til you're all blue in the fuckin' face at me later, but not fuckin' now. Just not now." His voice cracked again as emotion began to over took his body and he turned his back to them to face Rogue's still form.

"Fine Logan, we'll do this your way, on one condition. We watch from the other room. The mirror over there is a two way mirror and unless we open the com, we won't be able to hear what you'd say but we'd be able to see should something happen. We'd be able to get in here quickly." Jean inched toward Logan who had taken a protective stance in front of Rogue.

"I can take care of myself, Jeannie. She won't hurt me, nothin' that won't heal."

"We're not worried about you, Asshole." Scott stated, primed and ready to do battle. he was just as angry as Logan about what had happened to Rogue, the difference was that he understood why she had to be restrained. Besides, he thought, who the fuck is Logan to come in here, to his home, threatening his family, demanding answers. Logan's just a guy that knew Rogue for less than three days. Scott and everyone here knew her, know her better than he does. He's had three days with her; they've had three years. Scott's anger kept building as he approached Logan. He really wanted to hurt this guy, who's hurt Rogue for so long.

"Excuse me? Why the hell would you be worried about her alone with me? You think I'd hurt Marie?!" Before Scott could comment the Professor intervened.

"No Logan, we're not worried about her being alone with you. We're concerned about what she might do to herself if you manage to wake her from this catatonic state that she's in. She's already tried to hurt herself once before. It took both Jean and I telepathically and Scott and Hank physically to get her under control."

"That's how she got those wounds on her wrists?" Logan asked the Professor. His sadness replaced his anger in his eyes.

"What did you think, dickhead, that we did that to her? How despicable do you think we are." Scott jumped back into the conversation. The Wolverine turned from looking at Rogue to staring menacingly at Scott. He let go of Rogue's hand and crouched ready to attack, blind rage driving his being which was aimed only at one person, Scott. Scott was just as ready for Logan's attack. He secretly hoped that he would hurry up and pounce so that he'd have a perfectly legitimate reason for blowing his body in half, healing factor be damned and bye-bye Logan. He even taunted the Wolverine.

"Bring it on, you metal skulled freak."

Logan grinned eerily at Scott. The growl emitting from deep in his throat.

"STOP THIS AT ONCE, THE BOTH OF YOU!" the Professor wheeled himself in between the two angry men, angry now himself. "Just who do you think that this will help? Certainly not Rogue! She is our primary focus right now. If that is too much to ask for at the moment from the two of you, you both can just leave and take this...," he waved his hand in the air, "whatever this is, some place else. Do. I. Make. My. Self. Clear?" The Professor tried to look as stern as he could while holding his anger in check.

"I'm not leaving Marie." Logan backed down first taking a step back towards Rogue. He grabbed her hand again just as Jean released the last restraint on her left ankle.

"Fine. Stay. Just, all we ask is that there be no more anger and arguments. At least not while Rogue still needs us all." The Professor looked over at Logan, who just nodded affirmative, then his glance settled on Scott, a waiting his answer.

"Fine. But any sign of trouble and I'm coming back in. Understood? I'll give him his time alone with her but he better understand that I'll be watching and watching closely. If he even thinks about touching her or twitches too close to her skin, I'll blast him. Get that, Logan? She doesn't need more of you up there. She's already got four personalities too many and you're already one of them." So saying that Scott turned and stalked out of the room. Logan held Rogue's hand tighter and growled again. Only this time the growl got a response that he wasn't expecting.
