I am working on surfaces and nano sciences. My research interest
includes the studies of crystal surfaces and growth of self-assembled nanostructures. I use molecular
beam epitaxy (MBE) technique to study the growth of the self-assembled structure and scanning tunneling
microscopy (STM) and scanning tunneling spectroscopy (STS) for their insitu characterization. I
also use synchrotron X-radiation for scattering measurements. Currently, I am a post doctoral research
fellow at Max Planck Insititute for Metals Research, Stuttgart, Germany.

I am from West Bengal, India. West Bengal has been subjected in India to a variety of influences in modern and traditional cultures like, in literature, music, arts, movies and folklore. I love my Bengal very much because of this unique feature. I am very fond of Bengali literature and spend some of my spare time reading Bengali poems and novels. I enjoy listining to music which are mostly Indian classical music and Rabindra sangeet. Folk songs are in my list of favourites as well. My hobbies also include playing harmonica and drawing.
