the early rising took form in the summer of 2002. anthony, mike, paul and otto had been playing pop-punk covers for some time, but they never had a competent singer. mike made mention of his friend tom, and one thing led to the next. soon they were writing songs and on the final weekend of that summer, they recorded a five song demo in mew brunswick titld "inspired by you." as the bergen county quintet started maturing their style of music, they began to catch the ears of local bands and jumped into the fast paced bergen county punk/emo-core scene. they started playing shows in halls and small clubs and continue to do so to this day.
