X-Pac, Superstar Theme Songs, WWF Ratings, Real World

    Reported by Danny H on 8/1/01 at 7:25 p.m.

    - Because X-Pac is not getting over as a face or a heel, look for a character change sometime in the future. Despite having two belts, the "X-Pac sucks" chant still remains. Many fans feel that X-Pac's current character is stale, and a new one would jump-start his current status in the Light-Heavyweight Division.

    - The WWF has been contacting some of the popular alternative and punk bands to do some superstars' theme songs, including videos which will air on MTV. Kane, Rob Van Dam, and Raven all have new theme music in the works. The WWF feels that by using themes written and performed by popular bands, teenage males as well as adults can connect with the WWF's product that much more.

    - Because the WWF wants to maintain the high ratings they've been getting in the past weeks, look for each show to have some sort of shocking twist in order to keep everything fresh. Because of that, look for some WCW/ECW alliance members to jump ship to the WWF. A large number of face turns is expected as well, so look out for that.

    - There seems to be some WWF fans in the house of MTV's hit reality based TV show, The Real World. One of the housemates, Mike, is a quintessential all-American boy from Parma, Ohio, and is a big fan of The Rock. You can see Mike sporting wrestling T-shirts throughout the show, including last night's new episode were he was wearing a Brahma Bull shirt. Catch all new episodes of The Real World Tuesday nights at 10:00.
