The Visage / Fireplace Legends from the Past
Steve Hewitt
Visage 1996
Widely considered to be the best player in the world. Steve was probably the first big signing for Visage. An accomplished defender, Steve has also represented Claremont Garments and Millway Taxis in the Business Houses League.
John "Peacock" Egan
Visage 1996-97
What can be said about this player that hasn't already been said?
Dodge
Visage 1996-97
Founder of the club. Only had one name just like all the great South American footballers, Dodge made a handful of appearances in the debut season, before going into a season's retirement and joining Low Simonside in the summer of 1998.
Mad One Touch Frankie Fraser
Visage 1997
Despite only making one substitute appearance for Visage against Foxhomes early 96-97, Kenny, as he was also known, made an immediate impression on the club with an astounding first touch, but then disappointed everyone by turning out to be crap.
Trevor McDonald
Visage 1999
Yes, that's right, Trevor McDonald, as in News at Ten. Shame he wasn't as good at football as the news reading Trevor. Only made two substitute appearances, playing for Homefair Blinds now, I think.
Louis Forster
Visage 1999
15 year old who was considered to be the answer to all our problems when he made 2 substitute appearances late in the 97-98 season. Later left to sign for newly-formed Low Simonside, but there have been transfer rumours of a return, possibly to run the line.
John & Michael Gibson
Visage 1996-98
Defender Michael and midfielder John were valuable members of the Visage squad, not least because of the transport they both provided for away games. Both left following a dispute with another team member prior to 1998-99.
Mick the dog
Visage 1996-99
Although Mick never actually wore the red of Visage or the blue of Fireplace Centre, he was still always considerd a vital member of the squad, and thus can be considered for the Hall of Fame. Still remains the only three legged squad member in BHL history.
