My Activity Plan In The First Year

Currently I am a member of the Canadian Asian Student Association (CASA). This association has members from China, Korea, Japan and many other different countries. Though it is just called ¡°Asian Student¡±, I believe this is the most multi-cultural group in UWaterloo, because most students tends to attend those groups with mono-cultural backgrounds such as the Mandarin Student Association. In this group we are going to have many interesting activities, such as representing the feature of my own culture, learn how to dance, and meeting new friends, which are all quite exciting and helpful especially for first year¡¯s new students.

My course load this year is pretty heavy, for I am taking the advanced section of mathematic courses. But still I am planning to join CS (computer science) club. This club appears much more active than the CASA. We are going to have meeting every week and have smaller activities everyday. I can write interesting programs there, learn advanced programming "tricks" from experienced programmers and even professors, as well as making new friends with same interest.
